CEP takes part in annual celebration of Colorado chefs industry

The ACF Colorado Chefs Association Presidents Awards Ceremony took place recently, and Colorado Egg Producers (CEP) Association Industry Relations Director David Collie and CEP Outreach Events Coordinator Terri Heine were there for the festivities. 
The American Culinary Federation's (ACF) Colorado Chefs Association is an organization that provides educational opportunities to local residents pursuing a career in the culinary profession through leadership, financial assistance and guidance, thereby enhancing the quality of the Colorado Culinary Arts. 

CEP helps sponsor Governor's Forum on Colorado Agriculture, staff takes part in event

The 27th annual Governor's Forum on Colorado Agriculture brought together producers, consumers, experts, and other ag stakeholders to examine how each of those sectors converge to make agriculture one of the leading influencers in the state. 
Additionally, the Colorado Egg Producers (CEP) Association was well-represented at the event. Pictured above with Colorado State Veterinarian Keith Rohr (second from left) are CEP Industry Relations Director David Collie, CEP Board Vice President Jerry Wilkins, and CEP Outreach Events Coordinator Terri Heine. CEP Executive Director Bill Scebbi was also among the 200-plus people at the Feb. 22 event.

As is the case each year in February (Heart Health Awareness Month), Colorado’s egg producers and myself can’t let the occasion pass by without reiterating how eggs do indeed have a place at the table of heart-healthy eating, after years spent unnecessarily on various nutritional no-no lists. 


Bourbon, bacon ... and eggs on a stick? Yes, please

The now famous "eggs on a stick" were once again on display Jan 27, along with the dizzying array of specialty bourbons and unique whiskies from distilleries and diverse, smokey, tasty treats at the Bourbon and Bacon Fest in Denver. The event hosts samples from the Denver Metro area's best restaurants. 

On hand at the event were Colorado Egg Producers (CEP) Executive Director Bill Scebbi, Outreach Events Coordinator Terri Heine and Industry Relations Manager David Collie, who in addition to serving up eggs on a stick, took time talk with the attendees about the incredible edible egg.
