OCTOBER 12, 2012
JOIN COLORADO EGG FARMERS FOR THE FIRST ANNUAL
PJS & EGGS CHARITY EVENT

Select restaurants will open their doors for a unique meal
benefitting the Ronald McDonald House Charities

WHAT: The Colorado Egg Producers (CEP) Association will hold Colorado’s first annual PJs & Eggs event benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities on World Egg Day – Friday, October 12, 2012. Organizers ask attendees to don their pajamas and enjoy “brinner”, or breakfast food for dinner, at one of six participating restaurants across Colorado. In conjunction with the Good Egg Project, CEP has partnered with area restaurants to collect donations of unused children’s pajamas for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The following restaurants will open their doors for PJs & Eggs: Syrup (18th St. location) in Denver,  Toast in Littleton, Breakfast on Broadway in Englewood, Ralston Road Cafe in Arvada and EggCredible in Boulder. Diners will enjoy their favorite breakfast restaurants over the dinner hours while also giving back to a local cause.

Those who are unable to join the event but would like to support the Ronald McDonald House may drop off a set of new kids’ pajamas or a monetary donation at any participating restaurant before October 12.

CEP encourages the public to chat about the event on Twitter using the hashtag #PJsandEggs before, during and after the event.

CEP, a membership organization comprised of seven farms across Colorado, is proud to launch this event. CEP is committed to doing what’s right for its community, as illustrated by PJs & Eggs and their regular donation of thousands of eggs to food banks throughout the state. Egg Farmers throughout Colorado pride themselves on providing a high quality, protein-dense food like eggs to citizens in this great state. We are also proud to offer consumers the choice between cage, cage-free eggs, organic, nutrient enhanced, brown and white eggs. You can find our locally produced, fresh, wholesome and safe eggs in the dairy case of your favorite Colorado supermarkets. The seven CEP farms are Colorado Egg, LLC; Country Side Eggs; NestFresh; Boulder Valley Poultry; Hillside Egg Farm; Morning Fresh Farms and Sparboe Farms.

WHEN: Friday, October 12, 2012 from 5 p.m. – close (varies at each location).
