Dessert has been done a million times, but we’re ready to see just how boldly you can break the mold! This is your chance to rethink everything you know about the final course. Think beyond the classics, beyond the trends, beyond what anyone expects.

Your challenge: Create a restaurant quality dessert that has never existed before. Any flavor profile, any technique, any cultural inspiration is fair game – as long as the end result is truly original. You must safely incorporate eggs into your sweet creation.

Colorado Egg Producers (CEP) guidelines for the spring virtual cooking competition:

1. Open to all Colorado High School ProStart Students *Must be enrolled and verified in a high school ProStart Program to compete
2. Colorado Egg is asking students to create a dessert dish that’s never been done before using eggs as the main ingredient (recipes using raw eggs will not be considered)
3. Students can compete individually or in groups of up to 2
4. Students must submit a picture of team or individual picture of competitor for advertising use
5. Students must use recipe template to enter the competition and upload 3 pictures of the finished recipe
6. Entry dates: March 1st through April 15th, 2026
7. Students must submit through the entry form at www.coloradoeggproducers.com

Prizes:
Grand Prize – The winning dessert creation will be featured on the menu at Bistro Vendome in Denver & $100 gift card to enjoy their creation at Bistro Vendome!
– Second prize – Zwilling Chef Knife & Eggs for a Year
– Third prize – Zwilling Bread Knife
