A Dozen Reasons to Give

A weekend of sweets, with eggs at the heart.

A good old fashioned bake sale to benefit the Food Bank of the Rockies!

Colorado Egg Producers, in partnership with The Food Bank of the Rockies, is joining dozens of local bakeries on October 4th & 5th for a city-wide bake sale, in hopes of bringing eggs to every table across our area.

“Eggs are one of the most affordable, complete sources of protein, yet they’re often missing from the tables of those who need them most,” said Bill Scebbi, Executive Director, Colorado Egg Producers. “That’s why the Colorado Egg Producers are stepping up — because we believe everyone deserves access to fresh, nutritious food. By partnering with local bakeries and hosting this community bake sale, we’re turning eggs into impact. Every cookie, cake, and loaf sold helps bring protein-rich eggs to food-insecure families across Colorado. This is more than a fundraiser — it’s a movement to nourish our neighbors and ensure that no one is left behind.”

This event will directly benefit the Food Bank of the Rockies Mobile Pantry program, in which Food Bank of the Rockies holds pop-up food distribution events in lower-served and rural areas. Eggs will be distributed directly from Food Bank of the Rockies to neighbors.
“This bake sale will provide funds for Food Bank of the Rockies to purchase eggs to distribute to neighbors at no cost, supplying an important and preferred source of protein,” said Joanna Wise, with the Food Bank of the Rockies. “In addition, this distribution will occur during the baking-heavy holiday season, giving neighbors the ability to prepare culturally relevant and personally important food items for the holidays.”

Call for bakeries!

We’d love to work with you! This commitment requires little on your end, other than doing what you normally do – baking up some sweet treats in your awesome establishment.  Bakeries can decide on their format of giving. IE: a portion of a certain pastry goes towards the Food Bank or create a custom item for this weekend only where all proceeds go towards this eggciting event.
