Apple Fritter Donuts

All the flavors of a fresh apple fritter but in an easy baked donut. Celebrate the start of fall with this festive recipe!

Ingredients:

¾ cup flour

Dash salt

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon

3 tbsp olive oil

¼ cup heavy cream

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ cup sugar

3 tbsp apple cider (plus more if needed)

1 large apple, peeled and diced small

 

Directions:

Sift flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon together in a bowl. Create a well in the middle of the dry ingredients. Crack in your eggs, then add in olive oil, sugar, cream and vanilla extract. Whisk the wet ingredients together, slowly incorporating the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the diced apple and apple cider, adding more cider if the batter seems thick. Spoon batter into a greased donut tray and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Top with cinnamon sugar or icing.
