Kid Friendly Christmas Sugar Cookies

Taking a quick break from perfectly looking Christmas cookies to let the kids take complete control over one batch of treats!

3-4 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tsp baking powder

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and whisk mixture. Fold in vanilla extract. Sift in flour, starting with 3 cups, salt and baking powder. Add more flour if needed to create a roll out dough. Refrigerate the dough covered for two hours. Roll out on a floured surface and use cookie cutters for shapes. Top with sprinkles, then bake at 325 degrees for 8-10 minutes until just cooked. If frosting, let cool then frost.
