Tres Leches Bread Pudding

A sweet treat for a festive celebration!

 

5 large croissants cut up in cubes

6 whole large eggs

2 egg yokes

1 cup heavy cream

¾ cup condensed milk

¾ cup whole milk

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp almond extract

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/2 tsp salt

 

Lay the cut-up croissant pieces in a butter greased pan (I used an oval 9×4 pan for this recipe). Whisk together the rest of the ingredients to make a custard like filling. Pour the custard filling over the croissants. Cover and let it soak in for an hour in the refrigerator. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes till the bread pudding is golden brown and set in the middle. Top with fresh whipped cream and toasted almond slices.
