“I Dig You” Dirt Cups
Show you love with homemade dirt cups this Valentine’s Day! Whipping up this easy chocolate pudding is the best way to start this recipe. No fillers, no preservatives, just eggs and chocolate!
3 egg yolks
2 cups half and half
2 tbsp cornstarch
¼ cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
½ cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Dash of salt
Directions:
Whisk egg yolks together in a bowl until they are creamy and smooth. Gently whisk in the cornstarch and a dash of the half and half. Set bowl aside. In a saucepan, combine half and half, sugar and cocoa powder. Warm on stove until sugar melts and mixture is hot, but not simmering. Remove it from the stove. While whisking the egg yolks vigorously, add in one tablespoon of the warm cocoa cream. Keep whisking so the eggs don’t scramble. Once the mixture is tempered, Slowly whisk in the rest of the warm cocoa cream. Fold in vanilla extract. Cover bowl and chill until cool.
Once the chocolate pudding is cool, layer it in individual cups with cookie or cake crumbs. Top with gummy worms to finish dirt cups!
