CSU Ag Day and the Nutrien Ag Day BBQ

Come to the table to honor CSU’s roots, elevate scholarship and celebrate our community’s agricultural producers.
Ag Day is a long-standing tradition and celebration of Colorado agriculture and CSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences. We are proud to host the Nutrien Ag Day BBQ in partnership with Colorado agricultural partners from around the state. This tradition honors both the institution’s roots and Colorado’s rich agricultural history in a celebration that appeals to all ages.

Colorado Egg Producers, in collaboration with the CRA and Bistro Vendome, is proud to announce the winners of the 2026 ProStart Reinventing Dessert Competition!
1st Place: Elliot Newman with Pretty in Pink Meringue Roulade
2nd Place: Abagale Charuvilayil with Lavender Honey Creme Brulee
3rd Place: Azalynn Jones-Hill – Creme Brulee Milkshake in a Chocolate Ganache Lined Chocolate Chip Cookie “Glass”
Elliot’s recipe will be featured on the menu at Bistro Vendome in Park Hill from May 10th to June 7th. Congratulations to all the students on their creativity and effort!

CSU Ag Day 2026 – Buzzing!
Colorado State University’s annual Ag Day celebration returns tomorrow with a farm-to-table barbecue tailgate ahead of the Rams football game.

Transitioning to Cage-Free Hen Housing
Starting January 1, Colorado Egg Producers Will Begin Transitioning to Cage-Free Hen Housing
Soon all eggs sold at Colorado grocery stores will be from cage-free hens. The Colorado general assembly passed HB20-1343 to advance animal welfare by requiring Colorado’s egg-laying hens to be housed in a cage free environment. Additionally, the act also prohibits business owners from selling or transporting for sale in Colorado egg products that are not from a cage-free farm.
